We're putting an offer on a house!!

First off, HAPPY EASTER everyone! :-) Scott and I went house hunting yesterday and we decided that, that previous house I raved about was too done up and that we wouldn’t be able to personalize it. I guess it also helped that it’s no longer on the market. We did find a house that has a HUGE lot and we’re going to be putting an offer on it. Cross your fingers! The house needs some TLC and some updating.

I’m excited to find our house….the next step in Scott and Sabrina’s lives

Just being silly! hehe We’re on our way!

This is obviously the front of the house. You can’t really tell but it needs a fresh coat of paint and we are thinking about painting the door black and change the gold door knob to silver.

The backyard is huge and has a nice pool…it’s missing a little tile around the pool but nothing major (not that we know of yet)

This is the front entrance. I’m not a huge fan of the tile or foyer but you can’t beat the room it opens up to. Huge living room/dining room

2nd living room on bottom floor, kitchen is on the right, master bedroom, garage and 1/2 bathroom is on the left. I don’t like the fire place or mantle and would want to paint it (the fireplace) and add crown molding later on. Oh and the door that leads to the backyard is visible in this picture.

Kitchen and another view of the fireplace. I loooove that kitchen island…could easily be used as a buffet table.

Kitchen has lots of potential. I needed a big Kitchen and this is a perfect template for one. We want to get rid of the wallpaper and that green tile…we might eventually stain the cabinets darker and get new counter tops.

Breakfast nook, and more wallpaper…haha I love this space, I wanted to build rounded bench seating to go around the window…but Scott isn’t a huge fan of that idea.

This is the master bedroom. I love the window seating area and plan to make cushions and pillows to fill that area. I would also like to paint this room a very soft blue.

This is another living room space…yes this house is big and I don’t know what I’ going to do with all of this space. On the left there’s three bedrooms, the bathroom is right next to the stairway, there’s closet space on the right and an additional bedroom on the right.

PORKCHOP’s ROOM!! haha yeah, we will probably paint this room and this may end up being my craft room. Or a small guestroom.

We don’t have pictures of the room nor bathrooms. All of the bathrooms need updating and I’m not a fan of the vynil flooring in them.

This is the lot it sits on…as you can see there’s plenty of room for Porkchop to run around annnd grass for Scott to mow ;-)

Other than our house hunting we also took Porkchop to the puppy park last week

Porkchop decided to dig a hole while he was at the park…lol in the car on the ride home.

Someone needs a bath! Our little Scruffy puppers

Porkchop positioned the stuffed dog like this. Porkchop hiding..lol he never ceases to amaze us!

To end this blog I’m leaving y’all with my new favorite cow commercial

I love Westies

This semester I am taking Art Appreciation (my least favorite class) and on our test we have to know about this one 43’ sculpture by Jeff Koons called Puppy. This sculpture is made out of flowers and just so happens to be a West Highland Terrier.

Porkchop is a Su Chef

So, after looking at several houses on Saturday there’s one we really like. The only thing that we didn’t find too appealing was the back yard. We are really wanting a house with a pool and a decent size backyard (for Porkchop). You really can get a lot for your money in the DFW area so we figured if were going to get a house, why not one with a pool. You can get pretty much the same size house without at a pool as you can for one with a pool. So without further ado here is the house we really like:

l1Front of the house. You can’t see it but there are a bunch of garden gnomes in the front lawn. If we buy this house I think we may ask the owner for the gnomes…haha jk l2The dinning room which has french doors that that open to the living room.l3Living room, on the left from the entrancel4Kitchen, one thing I love and another thing you can’t see is the kitchen cabinet knobs. They’re flatware; forks, spoons, and knifes- I was like “awe, I want this house just for the cabinet knobs…haha. l5Family room which is open to the kitchenl7Master bathrooml8Downstairs half bathrooml9Guest bathroom. Very spacious for a guest bathroom and has room for multiple people to brush they’re teeth togetherl10 Backyard, has a porch that you can’t see and a swing set. Yes, there’s a pool but it’s not very deep, it’s described as a play pool and as you can see there’s not much grass for Porkchop.

Also if anyone would like to take a virtual tour here’s a link virtual tour.

We should be looking at some more houses this week, I will be sure to keep everybody posted on how that goes.

On the last blog I tried to plug in a comment box and it didn’t turn out very well. I will be searching for comment boxes to post on here, I haven’t come across any that will work, I may just have to script my own box.

Now onto the main event of this blog, PORKCHOP! So Mr. Porkchop is pretty much our child if y’all hadn’t noticed. Today he helped me make dinner. Porkchop is quite possibly the best dog in the entire world. Here are some pictures of him being my little Su Chef.
