Guess whose back!

Hello everyone! I’m sorry that I have neglected to write anything for several months… I guess it didn’t really dawn on me how long it had been since I last written until my mother called me. Apparently she thought there was something wrong with her computer since nothing new was coming up.

Well, lots has happened within the past 3 months. Scott and I bought a house (I’m sure everyone is well aware of that). We got the house I last blogged about. We have been trying to customize it to out liking and it has been more work than I think either of us anticipated. Apparently one of us thought it would be a grand idea to rip wall paper down from all the rooms that had it….easier said than done. I think we all know who that person was…haha it was me. This is our first home so it’ll take time. As of right now we do have one room completed and that’s our half bathroom.

This is without the wallpaper and with it being re-mudded

This bathroom was a definite learning process for both Scott and I. We were able to get most of the basics done but thankfully Scott’s parents came into town and helped us finish our project.

Ta-dah!…..

Next project it our bedroom. Most of the major stuff is complete… I just need to put together some seat cushions and decorate. I will hopefully have it completed by tomorrow. Which may mean another blog. :-) We also got our backyard pretty much furnished:

And just to briefly catch everyone up on what’s going on. Scott and I just recently had our housewarming party/luau, which his parents flew down for. luau 001 There they are, the beautiful Mrs. Connie Young and Sir Billington…oh, and that’s Greg

The most recent news was my trip to Ohio to do wedding planning. My maid of honor Andrea flew from Portland, OR…to which everyone in Ohio calls Ore-gone (hehe). With the help of Scott’s mom, we were able to accomplish a lot; wedding cake, bridesmaid dresses, flowers, finalized on my dress, centerpiece arrangements…and a bunch of other ideas. yay! only 304 more days left….better get started on my cranes again.

This is kind of a mumble-jumble blog…..I guess there’s just too much time that has gone by since I last blogged so I just had to highlight on everything. In conclusion-some pics from the housewarming party

Nope, the bedroom isn’t complete

I was hoping to have pictures of the master bedroom but it’s not complete…. I started on the cushions today but once again I wasn’t anticipating how complex it would be. First I had to measure everything out and create a pattern and then sit there and cut stuff down to size. making these cushions would be 10 times easier if they were just simple plan rectangles/squares but there not, they have to fit around a stupid pillar. So this maybe an ongoing project.

The reason for this blog was just because I forgot to share something awesome in my last blog. When I got home from Ohio I was greeted with probably one of the nicest/sweetest things Scott has every done….which is tough to top. When I got home from Ohio I proceeded to the closet to change out of my travel clothes and there it was, a completely organized closet!

Scott and I still had some clothes in boxes and a mess of a closet when I left for Ohio. He organized all of my dresses together, work clothes, skirts, t-shirts, tank tops, shoes, even the dresser (which was empty when I left) was organized. Everything had a place and everything was in it’s place. Sigh, I’m so lucky!

Going out of town made me realize 2 things… I have the best fiancĂ© ever and that maybe I should go out of town more often…haha

Things like this mean so much more to me than anything someone could have bought (aside from porkchop…he was a pretty awesome purchase).
