1 year anniversary

Yesterday, Scott and I celebrated 1 year! :-) I kind of cheated, and gave him his presents a day early. When he got home from the presidential convention, Saturday afternoon, he was greeted by a trail of 11 mini presents and at the end was a big present. I used a picture from every month that we've been together and made them into cards. I placed a card on every present and wrote one reason why I loved Scott, which I tried to tie it in with the gift. Scott's big present was a Brady Quinn Browns jersey.

The morning of our anniversary I made heart shaped pancakes, with strawberries and whip cream. I know, I'm 9.28.08 002cheesy! Scott then put on his jersey and watched the Browns beat the Bangles; our anniversary was off to a good start! I tried not to eat too much because I wanted to fill up at dinner. I'm not sure why I thought this was a good idea but 3 hours prior to dinner, I had a cup of yogurt. Now to most this would have been a great snack but I am lactose intolerant.

That evening we went to Ruth's Chris. As soon as we sat down my stomach began to gurgle, oh great! I desperately wanted to go to the bathroom but I couldn't, not at Ruth's Chris. I just tried not to think about it. At dinner we shared a bottle of Merlot and Scott actually ordered BBQ Shrimp 9.28.08 013as an appetizer. He even ate some! I attempted to take as many pictures as I could. Scott ensured that I turned 9.28.08 015the flash off and due to the "mood" lighting the pictures came outt a little fuzzy. There were several dishes I wanted to try but we both agreed that this being our first time at Ruth's Chris we should get steaks, which is what they're known for. Scott ordered a ribeye and I had a filet; these were by far the BEST steaks we have ever had! We both agreed, the ribeye was better but the filet was still the best filet I have ever had. Normally Scott devours his entire plate before I am halfway down with mine, but last night was the slowest I had ever seen Scott eat. He even double checked each piece of fat to ensure there wasn't any meat left. I was satisfied with just dinner but we indulged and got dessert. ooooh I had the most delicious key lime pie and Scott ordered a chocolate explosion (chocolate molten cake). As I wrote my mouth began to water...mmmm I highly recommend Ruth's Chris!

It's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's superporkchop!

On Friday, Porkchop and I spent the better part of the day at Petco, where he got groomed. This took approximately 3-4hours! I wasn't anticipating it taking that long so I tried to stay in the area. While Porkchop was getting groomed, I decided to run some errands which mainly 9.24.08 0669.24.08 072consisted of shopping and trying to find Porkchop a superman costume. I didn't really do much shopping, I was just determined to find him a superman outfit; don't ask me why but when I'm determined to do something, I find a way to make it happen. After 4 hours and 5 stores later (duration was due to the grooming) Porkchop returned home as SuperPorkchop!

I'm really glad I was able to find a superman costume because I would have spent another hour making him one. Unfortunately the only costume they had was a tad bit too big so I did make a few alterations to it. lol Am I being cruel to Porkers? I think it's super cute! Maybe I'll be wonder woman for Halloween and Scott and can go as our villain. j/k The alterations turned out good. Porkchop can actually walk in the costume, and he no longer tries to eat his cape.

9.24.08 0819.24.08 0939.24.08 082Scott's friend Mike, who is a Superman lover, will be coming into town and staying with us on Monday. Scott has informed me that Mike is not a huge fan of animals, this is my attempt to make him automatically love Porkchop. He will not be introduced to Porkchop but SuperPorkchop!

Porkchop is getting better about his potty training, or we are getting better about taking him out. We have already gone through a bottle of carpet cleaner and a load of towels. I hope he continues to improve. We give him little treats when he goes outside. Scott is also trying to train him to sit and lay, but true to his name, when he smells his treats he just focuses on how to get them, rather than on how to earn it.

Other than that, today is our 1 year anniversary! yay!! Scott got a $50 gift certificate to Ruth's Chris from American Express, which means, we will be going there tonight! Neither of us have ever been and we are both pretty excited. :-) I will definitely write a blog about that and post pictures of ever dish...is that tacky? lol Oh, well I like looking for ways to embarrass Scott.

While Scott's away Porkchop will misbehave

Scott left this afternoon to work a Microsoft event at the Presidential Debate. I had classes all day and once I got home, Porkchop and I went outside. We ran into our neighbor Emily and her puppy and chatted/played for an hour. Shortly after we were inside, I attempted to clean the apartment but instead, I spent more time cleaning up after Porkchop. He peed in his crate and then 3 more times within 10 minutes. Is that even possible?

Porkchop is about 15 weeks old and has started humping things! Oh, dear! I've never had a puppy before and I felt like a naive 5 year old; the sight of our puppy doing this was more than I could bare. :-( He's supposed to be a puppy, not a little pervert. sigh... I can't wait for Scott to get back. He's a guy, so he should be able to handle our male puppy's problem. lol Scott's already tried helping and searched for information on how to stop your puppy from doing this and this is what he found:

"Now my grandchild age 17 months tried to hump the dog!!! Not only that my grandson who plays with my turtle collection (plastic) placed them humping each other! YUCK" That's hilarious!

Porkchop finally fell asleep, thank goodness!

First Blog

This blog is intended to keep everyone updated on Scott and Sabrina. Here you'll be able to find the latest news about us and pictures. Sabrina loves taking pictures so you can expect to see lots of those! Open-mouthed

The latest news:

This past weekend we got a 14week old West Highland Terrier. We've named him Porkchop which suits him well; whenever Porkchop wants more food he will pick up his food bowl and bring it to us. He is very sweet and keeps us laughing. We're currently trying to potty train him, which isn't the easiest task. Today, he started barking and making weird noises at us. We just looked at each other puzzled and then watched Porkchop pee on our carpet. HA! Well, at least Porkers is trying to communicate with us.

Sabrina recently quit her job as a Flight Attendant and is back in school. She just started waitressing at a restaurant next to our apartment. She loves the fact that she's bettering herself by furthering her education but is having a difficult time adjusting to evertyhing. She's been a Flight Attendant for the past 3 years, so this is definitely a dramatic change.

Scott is still working at Microsoft. Microsoft Across America will be at this weeks presidential debate and Scott will be working their event. How exciting! Besides working, Scott has been spending his Sundays in orange, in front of the TV, cheering on his Browns. He also has been helping Sabrina in cooping with everything. He's her rock! Wink

Scott and Sabrina will also be celebrating their 1 year anniversaryRed heart this weekend. It's crazy that a year has already gone by. That being said, everyone can expect to see new pictures next week. The following weekend we will be making our way up to Ohio. Sabrina's really excited to see were Scott spent his college years and they're both looking forward to having dinner with Scott's parents.
